Clay Memory Vase

Clay memory is a vase I built by hand over the course of a few days. I often think about the way our Earth keeps memory, the many places that tell us about the past: ice, rock formations, layers of sand, clay. Clay keeps memory in its own way. This vase is a beautiful expression of the complexity of the strata of our planet.

It features a range of glazes I formulated and made myself, including my lava glaze. 

The vase is around 15cm in diameter and 17 cm in height. 

All my pieces are handmade by me in my Berlin studio. They feature glazes I made and formulated.
